The only difference between men and boys are the price of their toys!

The cannon on the left is a .69 caliber. It shoots a round lead ball about the size of a quarter. All of these use black powder ONLY. The mortar on the right is custom made. It shoots up to 300 grains of black powder, and the bore is cut so that a coke can full of dirt or cement will drop down the bore. It will shoot in a very high arch, and splash water up river several hundred yards away, according to the angle of the bore. "Big Boys" have fun with this quite often at Rendezvous. It is NOT fun to clean it after you shoot it several times!
