Events & Donations  

The AAHS organizes three major fundraisers each year to provide support for our mission and we gratefully accept monetary donations. Some AAHS members are also holding yard sales to raise money. Look for details in your local newspaper.

The Annual Pet Calendar Contest is held during the Kiwanis Covington County Fair each year. Proud pet parents can enter their pet's picture by completing a form and paying the entry fee at Andalusia Animal Clinic or Jones Veterinary Hospital. All photo submissions will be on display at the AAHS Fair Booth where visitors can pay to vote for the pet they want to see in next year's calendar.

One of the most successful fundraisers we organize is the Annual Pet Photos with Santa which is typically held on the first Saturday in December from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., at Jones Veterinary Hospital. Animal lovers should bring their favorite pets to have a lovely keepsake photograph taken with Santa Claus. Packages are $15.

The Annual Deep South Doggie Dash & Strut Your Mutt Walk is our biggest fundraising event of the year thanks to our wonderful participants and generous sponsors. This year's event was held on Saturday, Sept. 24 from 10 AM - Noon at the LBWCC Nature Trail in Andalusia. Businesses and individuals  served as sponsors by contributing to this event through four levels of sponsorship ranging from $75 to $250. A big thank you goes out to all the sponsors, participants and race winners.

Monetary donations can be mailed to the AAHS at P.O. Box 1671, Andalusia, AL 36420. Donations can also be made at both Andalusia veterinary hospitals and the Andalusia Animal Shelter.
